Diane grew up in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. While she worked full time as a registered nurse, she also ministered as a children’s pastor, youth pastor, and women’s ministry leader. She has more than 30 years of women and children’s ministry experience.

Diane joined Teen Challenge of Arizona and served faithfully for 10 years (2003-2013) as the founding director of Home of Hope, a Teen Challenge center for women and women with children. Under Diane¹s leadership, Home of Hope became a model for many other Teen Challenge recovery centers for mothers with children across America.

Diane joined Global Teen Challenge to assist Teen Challenge, pastors and other ministry leaders address the needs of women and children caught in life-controlling problems, such as addiction and abuse, across our nation and around the world.

Diane is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. She now serves as the Director of Strategic Ministries for Global Teen Challenge. She is the proud momma of two children and their amazing spouses, David and Gabrielle Swanson and Charlene and Matthew Gartrell.
